Diskin Cider just opened a brand new cidery (The Cidery) in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville and I was really looking forward to checking it out… guaranteed gluten free drinks, why not? I’m admittedly not a huge cider fan but when I read that Diskin’s cider is no sugar added, fresh pressed, and no artificial ingredients, I was sold.
We had friends in town for Memorial Day weekend so it was a good excuse to get over there and see what they had to offer. I didn’t really know what to expect and I was honestly surprised at how nice it is!
It’s a beautiful new space with lots of fun activities like corn hole, supersized connect four, uno, sorry, and many other board and card games.
When I checked their website, there was no food or menu information posted so we assumed that they didn’t serve food. We went to lunch before visiting and then got there to see the menu above and we were so sad that we were stuffed. The food looks A-MAZING and obviously mostly gluten free so we will definitely be back to eat and drink.
Two of us ordered a cider sampler which is four 5 ounce pour of your choice of ciders. My favorite was definitely the Local AF which I hear is limited in production now. I thought I’d LOVE the Tiki Tonik (Pineapple Cider) but not so much. They also have a few local beers on tap if you’re going with someone who doesn’t drink cider and is not worried about consuming gluten.
There’s something for everyone at Diskin’s Cidery and it’s a great way to spend a few weekend hours socializing with your friends or family!
