Many years ago, I lived just outside of the Melrose neighborhood here in town and remember when that stretch of 8th Ave was nothing. The only restaurants worth noting along that corridor at that time were ML Rose and Smiling Elephant. ML Rose was really the only place I ever ate over there (trivia night!). Over time, the area has changed so significantly and so many wonderful food options have been added. We still love ML Rose but also like Cilantro, Sinema, and Fenwick’s 300. Hattie B’s just recently moved into that neighborhood and while not at all gluten free friendly, I know it’s a favorite for many people without dietary restrictions! 🙂
I can’t even recall the number of times I’ve been to Fenwick’s and it’s definitely a place that I frequented before I was gluten free… so I know how good all of their options are (which is sort of unfortunate). Since going gluten free, I’ve had the Fenwick’s Basic, Steak and Eggs, and Breakfast Tacos. My husband has had the Corned Beef Hash (gf). My favorite of all of those is definitely the breakfast tacos.
Fenwick’s, like Fido, is also a Nashville Originals restaurant so you can get great deal certificates. We love watching out for the certificate sales and stocking up on places we know we love as well as places we want to try. Saves you $8 or more! Fenwick’s is a brunch staple in our house and will continue to be. Try it out and let me know what you think! 🙂
